About the Books Department

Institute of Physics Publishing has a long track record of successful publishing for the physics community and scientists generally. We are particularly strong in core physics subjects, but also associated and interdisciplinary areas such as medical physics, engineering, mathematics and computing science. Our reputation as a publisher of general interest titles in science continues to grow and has created a diverse list of fascinating books.

Our books range from large-scale reference works through specialist monographs and student textbooks to popular science books suitable for a range of scientific understanding and age.
